Michael Jackson Immortal tour...

Postby G.I.Jim » Mon Apr 30, 2012 12:54 am

Just went and saw the show last night here in Columbia. One of the coolest shows I've ever seen!!! The Cirque De Solei is touring along with Michael's musicians, and they're touting the show as the show Michael never got to make. Greg Phillinganes led the band, and several of the other musicians worked with Michael for years. The band was SPOT ON! They used Michael's original lead vocal tracks (given to them from his estate), and played live music around them. Some of the best musicians I've ever heard were on that stage last night.

The costumes, the stage, the lighting and sound, the performers... everything was freaking awesome!!! We had 4th row seats and got to see everything up close and personal. I never got to see Michael live, and I feel like this was the closest I will ever get to unless they perfect the hologram technology well enough to make a whole show out of it. THAT would be cool!!

Anyways, hope you're all having a great Saturday. :D

Do you live near Columbia? My daughters husband will eventually wind up in Charleston. In two years or so. I'll be out there visiting, here and there. :D
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Yep, I live in Lugoff, but I'm actually closer to Columbia than Lugoff. That would be AWESOME if you got to swing through here! We live out in the sticks, but also live fifteen minutes away from one of the newest, biggest shopping "villages" in the state, so I'm sure you'd enjoy checking it out. We're not far from anything, but just happen to be out in the woods. Bring your banjo!
