Heaven knows Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson (where ever they are) are eternally grateful to Steve Perry for legitimizing their music genre with his theft...er...I mean use of their influence in his music.

I now question why I bothered to comment on a band I never cared to listen to. I think you're right and I do not feel compelled to "catch up" on their work.

They have a cult following to this day, teenagers love this band , how could over 10 million be wrong about this band

Duh, though Journey is a poor example since they tour as a three part package. Bon Jovi or Roger Waters are better examples. Minimal album sales the last year but over a hundred million earned in touring. And no 15 song setlist either.
