I've been saying for decades that they're gay!

Marvel and DC already both have characters that are gay. Marvel even beat DC to the punch in that regard. And it's not going to be Batman, because it will be a character that has yet to be reintroduced in the DC 52.

I concur, it's silly.

And guess which group cares. Seriously, wanna guess?

Huh? This is just. Wow. I think it's more politically correct to accept a lesbian in today's reality than it is a man, so I'm predicting it'll be Batwoman/Batgirl or something.

The rebooted Batwoman is already a lesbian, dude!

Nope, it's going to be a man-hero/zero. I hope it's Plastic Man, since nobody gives a shit about him, anyway.

That just goes to show how in touch I am with Batwoman, lmao. I haven't been keeping up lately. Simply no time to get out to the CBS. I've been itching forever but with my busy schedule, have to resort to TPB with the present ongoing stories. How is Plastic Man a "major DC player"? As long as it isn't any of the big 3, I'm cool with it. Simply leave Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman alone in that mess. It's probably fucking Alfred for all we know.

The rumors point mostly to Vibe, another character I don't give two shits about. Plastic Man is an old character, so take "iconic" with your daily allowance of sodium.

And they would never do that to one of the Big 3. It's going to be a character that they've not yet reintroduced in the DC 52 relaunch.

Btw, I read a not-too-spoilerrific description of two interesting scenes from The Man Of Steel. If you like, I will paste them here. One involves Clark Kent, the other Superman and Zod.

Can't imagine they'd turn Batman into a pillow biter just as The Dark Knight Rises is poised to kill it at the box office this summer.

Why don't they just create a brand new character and call him Jizzman or something.

Marvel throws a same-sex wedding for the ‘X-Men’
Editor-in-chief Axel Alonso says the superhero story reflects the ‘world outside your window’

Marvel comic book crime fighters X-Men have put down their weapons and picked up wedding rings for the first same-sex marriage in the superhero world, set for June.

Marvel on Tuesday said Jean-Paul Beaubier, aka Northstar, a Canadian with piercing blue eyes and silver-streaked black hair who can move and fly at superhuman speeds, will propose to his longtime boyfriend Kyle Jinadu in the issue, "Astonishing X-Men #50," due on sale May 23.

"The Marvel Universe has always reflected the world outside your window, so we strive to make sure our characters, relationships and stories are grounded in that reality," Marvel editor-in-chief, Axel Alonso said in a statement. "We've been working on this story for over a year to ensure Northstar and Kyle's wedding reflects Marvel's 'world outside your window' tradition."

The pair will marry in the next issue of "Astonishing X-Men #51," on sale June 20, and some comic book retailers will be hosting wedding parties on that day, Marvel said.

Northstar and Kyle have been a couple since 2009, but Marvel is not promising the pair will live happily ever after. In fact, Marvel asks in its wedding announcement: "Will their path to wedded matrimony in New York City be smooth or are there hidden dangers around the corner?"

As if battling evildoers and saving the world weren't enough.

Sorry dudes, trying to stay away from most of the spoilers as possible. I always get myself into reading too much. When it comes to Superman though, I want everything to be as fresh and on the scene as possible. People are saying the scene that is supposedly leaked is very interesting. I'll wait, or try to anyhow 8). Zach Snyder was at a comic book convention the other day, highly anticipated but he is being as tight lipped as humanly possible on MOS. The only thing he said was that this movie is "beyond crazy and action packed." The Man of Steel teaser will be presented July 20th and go into The Dark Knight Rises. 8)

What was described was something you can expect to see, anyway. It's action-y. It's not a spoiler-spoiler like Hulk catching Iron Man, which the fucks put in the final trailer.

I agree. Why they put that epic scene in the trailer is beyond me. That should of been an awe-struck, fist-pumping moment but we all knew it was coming. It was still a badass scene though, one of my favorites in a long list of them. As far as Superman and Zod, I'm not really anticipating any carry-over from the Donnerverse but a "Kneel before Zod" moment would be a markout for me (Marvel stole the "Kneel before me" with one of Loki's appearances in Avengers, bastards, haha.) But other than that, I expect a lot of Kryptonian influence and maybe a 2nd well known villain (not mentioning Faora/Ursa) pop-up that hasn't been announced or ever seen on film in the Super-family. I think they should save Luthor and Brainiac for future installments. I'm burned out with Lex.

When I was a kid I has Batman, Superman and Spiderman dolls/action figures. I made them fly and beat up the bad guys. Never considered who they were dating. I'm glad we have overcome prejudices over the years but do we really have to bring sexual orientation into superheroes? Really?

Besides, I can already tell you which DC comic character it is going to be.

Yeah, and Dumbledore was brought out of the closet by J.K. Rolling even though it had nothing to do with the story, nor is there any indication of such in the books or the movies at all.

These politically correct acts of shoving acceptance of homosexual lifestyle down everyone's throat is what turns most folks off in the first place. To announce a character is gay when it is neither relevant to the story, nor of anyone's concern smacks of political agenda.

It shouldn't be something pushed into the face of children about their heroes in books or comics. The sexual preference of their hero is not what makes them a great character or hero. And really why are you using something that appeals to children to promote any sexual agenda, straight or not?

There are other venues to fight for equality.

I hate when people use kids.
