Just heard about this story last night.
These parents did it twice. I can't even fathom how someone could do this (co-sleeping) a second time after losing their first child this way. 1st time could be a mistake, but to do it again is just ...... I don't know the word to use. Evil?

Yes. Especially babies that young/small with two grown adults in the bed. Doesn't sound like the jail-time would be much a deterent for her either. They've both been in trouble with the law and it says she has been incarerated several times for serious crimes. Arrgggg, it pisses me off that people like this can (are allowed) to just pop out babies willy nilly like that when there are great nuturing couples out there that deserve those babies and just can't have them. Just not fair, I saw my neighbor/friend through the process of adoptions, etc. it just broke my heart to see it fall thru the first couple of times, one being a young street kid changing her mind at the last minute. Still brings a tear to my eye when I think back to that excited and tearfilled call from her telling me when she was finally a 'Mommy!'.
