KISS & Motley Crue

Dates: July 20 - August 23
Price: $30 - $215

KISS and Motley Crue's 40-date co-headlining North American tour -- dubbed simply "The Tour" -- kick offs in Bristow, Va., on July 20 and runs through Sept. 23 in Hartford, Conn., with the hard rock groups each playing 90-minute sets.

"These guys are the baddest band in the f***ing world," Motley Crue's Vince Neil said on stage with both bands when the tour was announced in March, as previously reported. "Our very first tour was with [KISS], 1982. To be able to do it now is amazing."

"Seeing them on stage, it was obvious back then that this was the next big thing," KISS' Paul Stanley added. "We talk about bang for buck, this will be the definition of bang for buck on this tour. If you want to see more bombs and artillery, you'll have to check out the military."

"More guitars? There can't ever be enough," Motley Crue's Mick Mars told Billboard.com, asked if the touring world needed a shot of rock. "I'd have 15,000 guitar players on stage."

Looking back, Lee had fond memories of the bands' shared '80s tour, remembering trying to catch the more established KISS members without their makeup backstage.

"I remember, I wanted to see what they really looked like," he said. "They had bandanas, wrapped around, so we never really saw what they looked like, the whole tour. That was a big thing for me."

Sitting on the lawn for this show.

KISS are my favorite band ever, but the new album is being delayed for this tour.

Should be a great show, but it will be "by the numbers" with a pedestrian setlist.

Going opening night and hope to eat my own words.

Have Lawn seats also for this. Seem Kiss so many times I was satisfied with 20 dollar tickets. Going to see Roger Waters on the Wall tour saturday night in Orlando at the Amway arena. I think I'll have a pocket rocket or two for this one. hehehehe

Kiss are the best live show ever, but at this moment they are like Journey.

$$$$$

They will play their own "dirty dozen" which will work for some, but not for me.

Doesn't work for me either. I was mega thrilled to see Mr Big not go that route on their reunion tour last year. Hell they played around 6 or 7 songs from their new album and at least 2 or 3 early rare gems that hadn't been played live in a long time. But then again they are more of a fan band, and obviously didn't tour again together for the big $$$$ or they would have packaged up and made much more $.

I know if they shell out "I Stole Your Love", or "Forever", I'll be VERY lucky. On this tour, I'm just going to say I've seen 'em.

KISS is my favorite band, but I don't intend on deciding whether or not to go on the tour until I see some of the set lists. If they're breaking out the usual 70's GH show then I won't be. If they would break out some old gems like the 2004 Rock the Nation tour did then I would go. Paul's voice from what I've heard so far still doesn't sound good at all.

However if they bust out Parasite (one of my all time fav's), God Of Thunder (still haven't seen this live), I Stole Your Love, some of the 80's hits, anything except God Gave Rock and Roll To You 2 from Revenge. I might have to go see it.

They need to bring back the entire set list and stage show from Revenge. Along with the Destroyer & Love Gun sets, this was by far the best set of songs they have ever played. Complete with hot ass strippers taking the stage during "Take it off". That was off the chain!

Revenge era might be the best they've performed with only the period between 75-77 being the only challenger.

The "Hot In The Shade" tour has the best stage and setlist for me.

New single will be out July 2nd so there is hope for the new setlist.

I'm not giving Gene & the Imposters any of my hard earned money. And, the Crue has been playing the same setlist since '98.
