The lighting is not at its best on this photo. This was inspired by his song "Saltwater"

This is the reference photo I used.

That drawing could almost pass for Steve Perry.

This one could pass as "The Octopus' Garden" with an amphibious gnome riding on a psychedelic seahorse. These drawings are pretty tripous continuous.

I'd leave them as is, because "Tripous Continuous" describes all of them. Maybe you could refer to all the art in the gallery showing as "Tripous Continuous".

I think someone has that handle at deviousart.com LOL

It is surrealism/ illustration. Maybe that will help.

Surrealism is a cultural movement and artistic style that was founded in 1924 by André Breton. Surrealism style uses visual imagery from the subconscious mind to create art without the intention of logical comprehensibility.

Steve's Seranade

He has quit singing and is listening to the frogs sing in the weeds somewhere...   His face is not really that red in the painting...the photograph registered too much red.

Well you can definitely draw. I sure can't. The last time I tried was during my senior year in high school back in the mid-80's. I was drawing the only thing that mattered to me at the time which was my Mexican girlfriend. It didn't turn out half bad though, but I was unable to complete her mouth and lips, so I just gave up and drew a flower blocking that part of her face, as though she was smelling a big rose. I never tried drawing anyone ever again.

Do you think Neal Schon learned guitar overnight? 8) It is practice that makes perfect. I bet with patience you could have learned to do the lips....it isn't something you are born doing from the cradle. I think anything we want to learn we can learn with patience and perseverance. Now it does not mean we will be wonderful...but the key is to love what we do. Whatever that talent may be.

Thanks for commenting. No one else did...I appreciate the feedback. :D

I agree with that. I have been challenged with sometimes setting my priorities in order during my younger years, most likely because I was very high strung back then. It took years for me to realize that patience is a virtue and to conduct myself in the correct manner.

Fantastic work, Ginger! I used to have some talent for drawing when I was a kid, but it never really evolved after I was maybe 10, so I stopped. You really have true, enviable talent!

Thanks Rip...I just hope Julian will see it and like it. The details are lost in the photo. I need to bring my portfolio down when we come to visit next time...photos never do the drawings justice. Hope your doing well. We are keeping you in our hearts always.

That kind of art isn't really my cup of tea but you're obviously very skilled. Keep up the good work!

I see. I never looked too closely at the person in the avatar but yeah I recognize him now after you mention it and I look at it a bit longer.

 I have done normal ones you know.

But I am a surrealist/illustrator. It is normal the way I draw. There are much more extreme artists than I am.
