The main riffs are easy. It's the solo that's the bitch.

I'm so sorry to hear that :D . Perhaps that's why I was able to sell my Fender Strat for such a high price, it wasn't made in Mexico.

Considering I paid for a much cheaper guitar and got this one I am pleased. They had to special order the original one and it never came in so the guy at the store sold me the one I have. It might not be an expensive one, but I like it. I don't have thousands of dollars to throw around. I was looking for a first time guitar and the ratings on it seemed nice. It is a left handed guitar.

Yeah, for the application you purchased it for, that should be fine. My issue is I'm very anal about product quality and always have been since I can remember. Best quality guitar I ever bought was a Hamer. That was my best guitar, even though the Strat was 100 times more comfortable since the body has a contoured top edge and it was lighter than the Hamer too. I'd get sore in the lower right ribs and left shoulder from wearing the Hamer for too long.

Well Sushi I am no pro, and I sing for fun and occasionally to help with a charity or two. I just wanted to learn so I can accompany myself. I don't think I have the time to learn professionally considering I am only 50 years young, and still a novice.  I love my guitar, and it suits me fine. It must be nice to know how to play and to have a nice on to play.

I am more of a visual artist anyway. :D

That's cool. Well the last time I played any guitar on a serious note :D was during 1987. Since then I've either given or sold them all off, last one was the Strat a little over a year ago. My first one was a Gibson Les Paul. They are fun though and I found that composing on a guitar is really easy to do.

Let me take that back I am 49 almost 50...won't be 50 till next Feb. I am thinking of my husbands 50th coming up soon!

It is cool that anyone can have a musical talent. I am envious of anyone who can play an instrument!

Yeah, I always wish that I could play as well as I dreamed. I was ok, but like I mentioned before, if I get scared or nervious, I can't play any instrument regardless of what it is, if playing guitar or piano, my fingers would just seize up me. Sort of like if your out in the cold and then you try to do something with your fingers like type or something. You know? Singing wasn't that way at all with me though, as getting scared or nervious didn't lower my singing ability, it actually made it better cause I would get scared or nervious and that would make me take it more seriously. Maybe that's the way to choose what instrument to learn

I really had no business with all those guitars though because I was never that great. The Fender I had was the only guitar that I bought brand new and I had to take a loan out from the bank to get it. First bank loan I got in my life, I was only 20.

Anyways, have fun with your new axe.

I can sing, but not rock. My voice is too high and sweet. Too much along the lines of Olivia Newton John. I can sing pop tunes. I can hit all the notes and things with Heart, but I lack the gruffness of her voice. I just don't have that at all.
