I just got through reading her story in the latest Vanity Fair issue.

My God. :x

She was NOT her "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" squeaky-clean image....AT ALL.

Drugs do more damage and destroy more lives. I don't care how "lame" I come across to anyone. I will never allow drugs or alcohol to ruin my life. People cut you down if your not in with the crowd...my question is what if the crowd is a bunch of stupid lemmings? I have never had any trouble having a great time totally sober. If you have to get comatose to have fun your spending too much of your life unaware of life itself. Some of these people live from one black out to another. Sad really.

Hey, G....I hear you.

But, it seems like Clive Davis was going to take Whitney Houston ~ who WAS a Model - I bought the "Seventeen" Magazine issue with her on the cover ~ and "shoehorn" her into the the "Pop Princess" role.

The story is pretty shocking.

It seems like they were trying to "gloss over" who she REALLY was, and "re-invent" her....just like Marilyn....just like Judy Garland....sigh....

You can only be a shadow for so long before the sun reveals your true self.

I LOVED me some Whitney back in the day, but that performance was terrible. The song had no good hook or melody, and she nearly talked most of the lyrics with no soul or emotion. Terrible, and not the Whitney I enjoyed listening to.

Wonder if Perry has gone to the 'vocal coach to the stars" interviewed in the article.
