Today is the anniversary of the passing of the great bass player and member of the Who, John Entwistle. RIP OX :(

It was June 27th, not 28th.

Wow, it's been 10 years, already, holy hell.

I was just getting ready to leave for the weekend to california to see The Who at the Hollywood Bowl on July 1st when I heard the news. They still played that show though, and my god was it sad... but also kind of cool, a great tribute, and a way for the fans to sort of "be there" with the band... it was weird to be at that show, the first of the tour (the actual first and second shows were cancelled, obviously).

Truly one of the top 5 bassists of all time. A ground breaking player 8)

My top 5. No particular order:

1. John Entwistle
2. Stanley Clarke
3. Geddy Lee
4. Chris Squire
5. Jaco Pastorius
