Bought a used Sebring Convertible a few weeks ago and am loving driving with the top down as often as possible - that is, when it's not pushing 115 degrees outside. This morning, was one of those occasions. Had to drive to the other side of Phoenix to pick up the youngest from a church related getaway and had to be there by 7am. So, at 6:00, I'm flying down the freeway, it was 70 degrees, had the top down. and jammin' to a Bon Jovi mix CD I made years ago and "Always" came on. I had forgotten how great of a song that is - and the live version from the Live at Madison Square Garden is even better. Richie just kicks ass on both solos and Jon's voice is in top form. It's one of those feel-good songs that just made my morning that much better. To top it off, the next 3 songs that played were Livin' On a Prayer, Have a Nice Day, and Runaway! It's a good thing it was early Sunday morning and the freeway was deserted 'cause I'm sure I looked ridiculous air-guitaring, and singing at the top of my lungs.

I think the heat is getting to you . It never gets as low as 70 degrees in july in phoenix the low said 87 ands thats usually a 15 min stretch somewhere between 3-4 am , it was more likely around 90 degrees by the time you drove that car( i think 70 was wishful thinking on your part ) still phoenix is a great place for ragtops and motorcycles(but neither of these are great in the summer)

When you buy a Sebring convertible it's more than the heat getting to you. Has there been a sudden increase in your daily intake of prune juice too?

Shoulda bought a Mustang, vs. one of those government bailout company cars.

I've always loved Mustangs. We have a very nice one, although it's a six banger, but it's got the whole Pony package, with the Shaker stereo system, and it will absolutely shit and git. I don't need anything faster than this thing.

I love Mustangs too and nobody fucks with this one! 640 HP of blown goodness. You will not have any hair left after riding in this "premium fuel only" car.

Well, you're right about the overnight lows rarely dipping below 90 but yesterday ws one of those rare mornings when it was cooler than normal and IIRC the onboard computer read 73 deg. when I got in the car. It was gawgeous!!

My neighbor was moving and didn't need or want the car anymore so he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I've never been a big Chrysler fan, and if I were shopping for a car, a Sebring definitely wouldn't be on my list of cars to shop buuuuuttt....... the car is immaculate and has always been garaged. It's an '04 Touring edition. He only put 84,000 miles on it since he bought it new and always kept it maintained. I got it for $3500! And to tell you the truth, it's not a bad car. The wife drives it primarily and loves the Hell out of it.

As far as Mustangs go.... meh.... never was a big fan of them with the exception of the '65 and the 70 Mach 1 fastback (I think it's the 71, might be the 70 I'm thinking of..... anyway, besides those two model years, they really never did anything for me. I was always more of a Chevy enthusiast.

Still no Phoenix date for Journey/BentGuitar/BlubberBoy....,.
