Great little theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Going there next week to see Chris Isaac...front row seats!

Red Rocks is a fantastic venue as well. I've been debating on heading up to Potawatomi, they've had some good shows. Is it in downtown Milwaukee?

I always loved Konocti...too bad it closed:) Same with Clio, MI. Some of the good ones are gone now.

I would also agree with the Gorge!

Red Rocks is definitely on my bucket list. I want to see a concert there very badly. I've been there to hike, but never during concert season.

DTE/Pine Knob in Detroit is a great venue. It has all the perks of Blossom here in Cleveland, but none of the downsides (namely, the ridiculous parking situation).

Here in Cleveland, my favorite mainstream venue is probably the House of Blues. It's just a fun place to see a show, assuming you're all right with standing all night. Nautica/Scene Pavilion in the Flats is a beautiful venue on the river, but I've seen too many shows there that have just featured horrific mixing. I don't think it's totally the venue's fault because I did see Crosby, Stills, and Nash sound 100% perfect there about a month ago, but all in all, I've seen lots of shows hampered (Dream Theater, Todd Rundgren) and some flat-out ruined (Boston) by the sound issues there. So I have to disqualify that one.

For non-mainstream venues, there's also a great little bar called The Winchester in Lakewood, Ohio (10 minutes west of downtown Cleveland) that gets some pretty good acts. It's a very intimate venue. I've seen Steve Lukather, Ambrosia, Al Stewart, and Bernie Leadon (first lead guitarist of the Eagles) there. Phil Keaggy is coming Saturday, but I'm already seeing Bachman Turner in COlumbus. Anyway, you get the drift--it's a very nice intimate venue to see some good acts. I sat probably about 10 feet from Luke when I saw him.

So far my favorite venue is Rockin On The Riverfront.
Asia and Three Dog Night have been the best I've seen.
I'm hoping to see Lou Gramm there in August.

Close to downtown. It's in the valley a little south and west of downtown. I'm also going to go see Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang there this fall. Should be a great show! If you're looking at other good Milwaukee venues, the Pabst and Riverside Theaters are great as well. I love small venues. I won't bother going to stadium, or arena shows anymore. For what you have to pay for tickets, it's just not worth it.

Oh shit!

I've never seen that...the people at the door....OMG!

Everytime I go into a club since that night I scan the exits.

I try to tell myself I could have gotten out had I had gone that night since I hang out in the back at the bar.

However many got caught in the bathroom when this went down.

Just horrifying to think about.

Thats just a fantastic place to see concerts, only bad thing is the concert has to end by a certain time due to it being in a residential area. (but nowadays most places have the same issue).
