It's alright. Pure shit when you stack it against KISS' new one.

It's apparently available on itunes now... what about an album?
Agree with prior posters assessment of SOLA. Little disappointing, exceeded as a Motley album by Vince's Tattoo's And Tequila.
Too many outside writers on SOLA. I like when it's some permutation Sixx/Mars/Lee/Neil.

I guess that they eventually run out of stuff to write about and run out of new ideas for the music itself so they get material from outside writers. I remember back in the late 80's it seemed that most of their songs pretty much sounded so much the same to me.

Crue hasn't done anything good since Corabi was the vocalist for them. Even before Corabi they had a few good songs but a lot of biker trash songs.

Yeah, I would agree with that. The stuff they did before Vince Neil left was far better than the stuff I've heard from them after he came back.

SOLA had a couple of great tracks, but failed as a whole.

Generation Swine has a lot of strong material, though it was a come down from Feelgood and the Corabil album. Other than Punched In The Teeth By Love New Tattoo was meh.

I watched them on Jay Leno that night back in 96' and I though the song they did on the show that night had some promise to it so I went out and purchased the cd. It turns out after listening to the entire cd, I didn't care for the album at all and the song that they did on Leno that night seemed to tire out rather quickly. Maybe they will turn things around this time.

Sushi Hunter, ever get the re release of GS? The bonus tracks feature the two best songs (not) on the album: Kiss The Sky (which turned into the lesser, but still decent Confessions, and one of the best Crue tracks ever, Wreck Me.

Wrong.

New album kicks ass.

Vapor Trails kicked ass.

Counterparts kicked ass.

T4E/S&A were solid, just not kickass.

I think you've mistaken Rush for Journey. Trust me, they sound nothing alike. Rush is far and away the better band.

Rush lost their mojo in the mid to late 80's,(come to think of it , a lot of bands lost their mojo in the 80's) a fantastic band in the 70's and early 80's but, they haven't had a good album in over 20 yrs .....(unless your a rush fanboy)

Look at the Stones...fantastic stuff in the 60's and seventies and even some of the 80's, but they haven't put anything decent out in 30 yrs ...(unless your a Stones fanboy). Its just a matter of fact , all these bands best stuff is long behind them. It's great they still put stuff out but for the most part it just can't compare to their glory days.

Rush has proven time and again they're still relevant. They record new material and tour behind it and aren't a "nostalgia band" like Journey, REO, BOC, Foreigner and others.

If you really think they haven't recorded anything worthwhile since Power Windows, you should arrange to have your hearing examined by a specialist.

And i think everyone knows it but can't admit it. I liked "Sonic Boom" but it doesn't come remotely close to "Destroyer" or "Love Gun'. Different era, stronger song structure and a stronger voice adds a punch. Motley's last good album was "Feelgood", period. I've always liked Rush for their great musicianship. Lee's singing voice though is like nails on a chalkboard, irritating as fuck!

The last decent song Motley Crue put out was "Hell on High Heels". Other than that, their material since the self-titled album blows. The material with Corabi wasn't as good as the previous stuff but it's much better than anything since then.
