Just saw the new trailer for paranormal activity 4 (yes 4  ). Don't get me wrong I'm a huge
horror movie junkie but I think the "found footage" style has run it's course. But don't tell
hollywood that.

Probably just an excuse to make a cheap movie that appears to be real.

But, does it? Really? I never understood these types of genre films. Somewhere along the way, directors/film makers tried to associate video with real life docu's leaving the soft touches and cinematography of film to display/perform "Based on's" For me, it's the content of what's being shown and its legitimacy from the very start that attaches a type of visual media to my mind's acceptance of what it has just witnessed - if that makes any sense.
That's not to say some of them aren't very entertaining, I just prefer not to blur the lines between true, honest, legitimate reality and sorta, kinda, real if you look at it this way....

Is Molly Ephraim in one of the films from that franchise?

I don't mind it, I just can't stand the shaky camera bs, been sick a few times from these movies. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to Cloverfield, which I think would have been much better without the shaky camera effect.
