CN Tower "Edge Walk"... No Freakin' Way!

Apparently, the CN Tower in Toronto offers thrill-seekers an experience they'll never forget. It's called The Edge Walk and it's exactly what it sounds like. They put you in a jumpsuit and attach you to an overhead rail via a cable and allow you to walk around the outside of the tower on a narrow catwalk with no fence or guardrail. :shock: :shock:

I wasn't afraid of heights in the slightest when I was a kid but it seems the older I've gotten, the more they really bother me - and I couldn't do this for love or money! As soon as I stepped out onto the catwalk, I'd be reduced to a puddle of paralyzed goo! :lol: :lol:

Totally not the same though. The floor you're waliing on is like 2 feet thick and you're surrounded by a fence that's taller than you are, so any "shock" factor or scariness is pretty much gone. Add to that it's ridiculously expensive to walk out on that ugly monstrosity and there's literally no attraction for me whatsoever. IIRC, it costs $35.00 to walk on it.

I've dined in the revolving restaurant but I don't think I'd want to be on that catwalk regardless of a safety harness or not. :shock:

Yeah, me either.... That's just more than I could endure. It's a l o n g way to the top of that thing and then you have to climb back down - backwards. I'd be too stressed and fatigued. Given the height of that tower, I can't see why base jumping wouldn't be the preferred method of decent for the guys who service it. And being the extreme height mongers those guys probably are, you have to believe they are also skydivers.....

Umm, not quite...
The Macau Tower is 1,109 ft. and the CN Tower is 1815 ft.
