What can I say...I've always been a sucker for the underdog! Let's go Pirates!

Watch great story below on Pirates second baseman Neil Walker's connection to the great Roberto Clemente. Very cool connection to have for a guy who grew up in Pittsburgh and now plays for his hometown team.

I've been rooting for the Pirates to and hoping for a Pirates vs Athletic's world series. Wouldn't MLB just love that?

I've been a Pirate fan most of my life (29 years young) and this year has been absolutely fun. Can't say I saw them winning at the beginning of the season with what looked like disappointing pickups in Barmes, Barnett, and Barajas. Barmes and Barajas have looked like failures basically since signing (aside from Hot May/June from Barajas, and yesterday's grandslam from Barmes), but Burnett has looked like the Florida Marlins Aj Burnett of old and that's great to see the Bucs finally get lucky on a salary dump like that. A lot of fans are talking of playoffs...I'll be satisfied with the season if/when they break 82 wins.

Also can't wait until 9/19 as I'm going to be in Pittsburgh to see them take on the Brewers.

I'd like to see a Pirates/Orioles 71, 79 rematch WS

I don't mind adversity hitting this team when it matters the most. We've went 21 fucking years of being the most embarrassing pieces of shit to all things connected to sports. I STILL can't fathom that we're still even in the WILDCARD race in AUGUST. That's just downright spectacular for the city of Pittsburgh. This season has been special. Even if they miss the wild-card or miss the playoffs as a whole, still chalking up a winning season 1 year after being a painfully embarrassing laughing stock is all we ask here in Steel Town. I'm pretty proud of them. Their management has turned around, got themselves transactions that helped the team rather than hurting it, went out, played ball & are having fun. The Buccos have a nice team. Not world beaters, but we'll take it.

And they have the best young star in the game with McCutchens.

As a Pirate fan, I'm officially rooting for a collapse so someone will hopefully grill the shit out of our moron GM Neal $hitlovington (Huntington), the dumb ass manager who put Barashit (Barajas), and Blowesass (Barmes) in the lineup every night Clint 'Clit' Hurdle, and the cheap ass fucking owner Bob 'Scrooge Mc' Nutting.

What other team in pro sports blows 15 million a year on shitty over the hill vets every year other than the Pirates. Fuck that organization.

My jaw hurts from watching Clint Hurdle in the dugout.

As a Reds fan ,they can't be caught at this point. 11& 14 game leads. But I do not see them going far in the playoffs. It is like the entire team has went to sleep. Now I have to endure the BENGALS AND ALL THEIR INJURIES from training camp .
