Al Roker in Hypnotic Trance on Today Show

Whether this is real or just a hoax, it's pretty damned creepy. On The Today Show this morning, Al Roker, Matt Lauer, and the female anchor (forget her name) are on the plaza outside. During a brief conversation between Lauer and the woman, Lauer mentions the Holy Ghost which instantly snaps Roker into this weird hypnotic trance and he turns toward the camera with this zombie -like look on his face and he stays that way - I mean he doesn't move a muscle. It's just freakin' strange that's all I'm gonna say. you be the judge.

It looks like bs to me. Perhaps he felt uncomfortable at the mention of the 'holy ghost' on national television. Some networks seems a bit protective of references to anything religious.

It's actually her that mentions it, and I get the impression Roker was possibly highlighting a 'no no' by staring at the camera - the face he makes gives that impression. I read a few days ago Roker and Anne Curry were friends, and he threw an unmistakable dig at Lauer on air about it.

I was right - there is an article on TMZ today about Al's campaign to undermine them over the firing of Curry.
