Yeah saw this back several months ago. It's not a very noticeable change, but I guess it doesn't look quite a "cartoonish".

No it's not! On another note, I'm not sure that I get the point of this "logo change". That's like making the color red a bit darker on the Red Sox logo. Hardly a "change". Yes it is. I have lived in NC since 1989, and while I can't exactly disagree with the "Civil War" comment, I can disagree with the "roots" comment. In 17 years, the Panthers have had 4 coaches, winning seasons, losing seasons, playoff seasons, a Superbowl season.

If that's not enough to have roots, please tell me what the requirements are.

The requirements are that your team needs to be around longer than I've been out of high school! Hell, the Patriots are the "new" team in Boston, and they've been around for more than 50 years!

EXACTLY, Enigma....same with the Cowboys. The Bucs and the 'Hawks are also new boys on the block ('76). 17 years ain't nothin'. PLUS...it helps if you had a memorable roster.
