Ya know, I kinda thought the same thing especially after reading the info about that crash (the guy just getting released from jail half hour prior to the crash.... and the fact that the crash was caught on a dashcam of a state trooper - the guy obviously saw the cop....) but, there's no way in Hell he knew the car would get THAT much air, ultimately enough air to send the car into the overpass. Hell, a Hollywood stunt crew would have a hard time getting that crash maneuver perfect let alone some guy dead set on suicide going over 100 MPH, knowing exactly when to leave the pavement, heading into the median and hitting the ramp-like culvert perfectly to jump the car.... how high are overpasses on average? 17, 18 feet let's say.... that's a Hell of long way up there for 2 tons of iron.
Amazingly, the guy lived. He was ejected (DUH!!) onto the median and was up and talking coherently when EMS arrived. We could call him and ask what his motive was....
