Awesome Video of Space Shuttle Atlantis' Final Mission

Postby JRNYMAN » Fri Nov 23, 2012 2:02 am

NASA's imagery is always spectacular and this video they put together of STS-135 Space Shuttle Atlantis' final mission is just awesome - especially the launch sequences which they cover from about 20 different angles. Best experienced in full screen and hi-def audio with plenty of bass. The music is fantastic! Video runs 17:01 and it's worth every second!

Enjoy!

Really gives you a little bit better perspective of just how much power and thrust is created when the solid fuel is ignited. And with that kind of propulsion system, it's no wonder it only takes 17 mins. to reach their orbiting altitude! And of course once they reach it, they're clipping along at a cool 17,000 MPH! 8)
