12/21/12

At this point, there are people who are as equally extreme that something will happen on 12/21/12 that will doom us all, as are people who believe it's just another over-hyped deal.

But, for the sake of the topic, let's just assume the child crying wolf is for real, and that every religious book, calender, Nostradamus, etc. are correct, and 12/21/12 is indeed, the end of us all. What is, in your opinion, the 'most likely' doomsday scenario?

Personally, I don't believe anything's gonna fall from the sky. Nor do I believe that there's a dictator/evil leader so desperate enough to start a war that would wipe out mankind, as even the person in question would have nothing to gain ruling over a pile of rubble. Something would have to happen to our natural resources to make the human race turn on one another.

Only one thing would come to mind....Yellowstone. If that fucker were to erupt, it would shoot enough ash to cover the World and block out the sun. This in turn would cripple America, and would wipe out the World's natural resources over a short period of time. With the most powerful nation in ruin and with the World's resources depleting, it would give incentive for the human race to turn on one another.

So no, if something does happen, we won't die instantly...it would be a slow and painful suffering.

But this is just an opinion, and I've included a poll of all the possible doomsday scenarios that various Armageddon-specific tv shows have mentioned. Post your thoughts.

The poll will stay open until 12/25/12.

I don't believe anything happens, but if it does happen I believe it'll be man made.

My bet it that Steve Perry will sing that day publically causing a melt down in the space time contimuum so drastic all life except for those on Tasmania will die. The wombat will go on to rule the world.

The rocket/satellite that North Korea recently shot off into orbit around the earth will either come crashing down into a densely populated area or fuck shit up while in orbit.
