Local Radio Stn. Just Reported Johm Mellencamp Died Today

Postby JRNYMAN » Mon Dec 24, 2012 4:27 pm

However, I can't find anything about it whatsoever. They reported Jehn and his wife were en route to his parents' home somewhere in Indiana and were involved in a fatal car crash. Sounds like it might be an Internet hoax. Anyone else hear about this?

It would be all over CNN... nothing there...

Oh... you mean because of the way I spelled Jehn. That's the Jewish-Mennonite spelling of John.   And come to think of it, what the Hell kind of name is Mellencamp anyway? It's got Jewish, German and Scandinavian possibilities going there. All I know is it's a good thing he had the foresight to predict what "Cougar" would come to mean and changed his name!

Mellencamp doesn't have a wife right now. He is dating Meg Ryan.

He's a smoker and has had heart problems so it won't be long that this will be real. Most people that smoke are not Keith Richards.

Smoking doesn't kill everyone. Some people are immune to it. My grandfather passed at 93. At 73 they told him he should quit and he asked what for? I'm 73 and I like it. He smoked everything.....and I mean everything, from pipes, cigars, cigarettes to cannibis. He even chewed tobacco. My belief is that some people are just unhealthy from the outset. You are gonna die within a certain range based on your genetics. I'd rather be happy and live a couple years shorter than trying to comply with someone elses beliefs of how I should live MY life. That is basically my message to everyone of my dysfunctional family who tries to influence me and enthrust their views upon my way of living.

Good post Steve O. Yea it just boggles my mind Some people are like your grandpa, then others it kills them in their thirties, like Stallone's son and Jeff Porcaro.

Yeah, that guy seems to be like a cat with nine lives. He's got more tracks on his body then NASCAR has.

Back in the late 80's when Richards did that solo album or whatever it was with the "X-pensive Winos", he looked like death even back then.
