WOW this was great!!

It sure was. Heart have never been afraid to tackle the tough covers. Their version of the Who's Reign O'er Me is spine chilling.

Freakin' OUTSTANDING!!! It's no secret that Ann and Nancy are huge Zep fans as they usually always manage to include a song in their setlist.

Love some of the comments posted like...
"The guy who played that guitar solo in front of Jimmy Page wins my vote for "The Person with the Most GUTS in 2012".

"If I had to play one of the greatest guitar solos in history in front of the great man who recorded it, on the night that his band was being honored for their incredible careers, i'd probably cry myself to sleep. "

"Ann said, in an interview after Heart's RRHOF induction: "No pressure, right? Like reading the bible to the pope."

Rock legends covering rock legends. Sorta like a starbucks across the street from another Starbucks or if you Google the word Google.

Is it just me or does the guitarist look like a cross between Sheldon from Big Bang Theory and Christopher Walken? 8)

Yo-Yo Ma looked like he was genuinely diggin' it!
Great post!

Yes!! That was the year Heart toured with Journey! I really grew to love Heart even more after that concert. I saw them at least a few times after too. Once at the HOB Orlando, which was great for a more intimate venue!

You did indeed - and Jason too! Right at the end when he grabs the cymbals he's looking down and when he looks up you can see his eyes are welled up. Man what a fantastic tribute that show was!

WOW - performance of the year.

Jimmy need look no further for a freakin' power house vocalist to join him, JP and Jason if Robert is 'too far down the road doing different things'.

How often have we seen rock doing choirs / choirs doing rock? Awesome!!!

It seems Jimmy is looking at the soloist and thinking 'Dude, I never pulled that shit off wearing a suit & tie!!!!'

And maybe what chokes Robert up, is seeing a choir of Bowler hats channeling JB?

This post has made my day for sure. :D

You have no idea!
People gave Ann shit for gaining weight and that was just so shallow, as Ann is so talented. I love those sisters and they are beautiful. They have given us almost 40 years of love. Time to give back. I needs me a Heart concert! :D

Usually they tour as the opening act for a headliner unless they play someplace like a Hard Rock or House of Blues. Both sisters use to be hot, hot, and

hotter. They have some great tunes with Magic man, Barracuda, Crazy on you etc. Seen them enough though in my lifetime unless of course they open for

someone I wanna see.

They are playing here in March (headlining act) in what will be by that time my new home town - 5 or 6 minutes away from my house :) :

That was Shane Fontayne
(IRL: Mick Barakan)

The Wilsons, Shane, Jason and the rest of the band definitely had the minerals.
Definitely off it now...

The whole backing band for the Kennedy Center show was amazing. Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, Chickenfoot, tons of studio work) was on drums for the Lenny Kravitz and Kid Rock portions of the tribute, and I thought I saw "Blue" Lou Marini in the horn section (Blues Brothers, Blood, Sweat & Tears, etc.). The Foo Fighters did "Rock & Roll," with the drummer, Taylor, taking lead vocals and Dave Grohl on drums. I also loved that the drum kit everyone used for the Zep portion was a copy of the orange see-through kit John Bonham used.
