It is the "BIG" movie I am looking forward to the most. Loved the first 2 Superman movies with Reeve, but after that...... Hope this movie does good, DC's Justice League is riding on it.

From the pix posted, it looks like the suit is made from the exact same materials that Spiderman's suit is made of.

I've learned through trial and error to never get hopes up for a Zack Snyder film. It will LOOK good, but every film he's made leaves me cold. Maybe one day, it will change, but I've yet to be enthused about the final result of any of his films.

The Big Blue Boy Scout is my favorite comic. I'm 39, I've seen all the movies, shows, cartoons, read the comics. I went to see Superman Returns and enjoyed it (to a point). I own all the movies, soundtracks, etc.

I. Am. Very. Much. Looking. Forward. To This. Movie.

Sweet! You're my kind of peoples. You still collect comics? Just picked up Grant Morrison's Action #16 today. His run is complete with a huge issue next month with Action #17. Terrific writer with a abroad comic-telling mind. Makes you think and skips around but all comes together in his last issue's on his titles. Looking forward to your enthuism with Man of Steel. I'll be updating this thread frequently with news, magazine covers, T.V spots, etc.

To be honest I am not that interested in yet another version of Superman. It's been recycled too many times for me.

I agree. I'm a diehard Superman fan and became an avid fan because of 1978 in the first place. 7 years ago when Superman Returns came out, I was jagged and disappointed that my favorite all time character couldn't move past the un-written status quo set 28 years prior and that's not to mention the 3 Reeve sequels that followed. Even the comics, television shows, cartoons, video games and other media meddled the same character stuck in a time warp.

That's why Man of Steel is highly and widely anticipated. You can't recycle material that hasn't been done before. This new character, albeit Superman, is designed to give off the effect that this is his first introduction to a modern audience. This is going to be a side of the character nobody has seen before while still holding respect to the source material. To the general public, you won't even have to like Superman to love the story. The scale of possibilities this movie will explore is humungous.

1989's Joker scared you? Nicholson's Joker is as cooky, whacky & 'comic-y' as it gets, haha. Now Ledger is a different story (as Jim pointed out, lmao.)

Batman 1989 will go down as one of my favorite movies of all time.

Still, this is the best Super-hero moment EVER!
