I've been bypassing it anyway. I HAVE AVAST! It's impenetrable. ;)

I feel your pain, Andrew. This happened to one of our sites, too and for no reason. It was a bitch getting the warning removed. Good luck!

Apple doesn't get viruses.....at least they didn't used to. The Mac OS has remained pretty safe from them over the years.

They don't, but they could. The reason being is that it's a bit more difficult to write viruses for a Mac, and, believe it or not, Mac's only comprise 10% of the market share. Virus writers want to make the biggest impact possible, and Mac's just don't do that for them. If they gain more market share, you can rest assured, they will get targeted.

My whole deal is I just don't like iTunes. I like to plug my phone in, drag a folder onto it and that's it. I use power amp so when I open my music player I just hit folders and bam, I'm in business. Simple as fuck. None of that synching nonsense.

Plus you just know that an Apple app on a PC has to be reverse engineering Windows......it just has to be!

Yep. I always disable Bonjour and the Apple update service and delete the ipod helper from the registry and as much shit as I can disable. I know there are things out there like Power Amp and Media Monkey, but I just pare iTunes down to the bare essentials and use it anyway.

There's a trick where you just rename the iTunes exe file to zip and then open it so you can extract and install the player only.

Apple makes good stuff, but their proprietary bullshit makes any half way computer savvy human being run for the hills. Not sure how they can't see that.

I just opened up an ipod i bought years ago and this thing is a pos, wont synch up locks up everytime i plug it in to try to get files on it then it dies and you can't do anything until the next day when the battery dies out(then you have to fully recharge it again) 4 days in a row i have been trying to get this to work, itunes doesn't even recognize this, and this is apparently pretty normal stuff you have to deal with because it looks like everyone deals with this crap ,i tried doing some quick fixes for it that are on the internet but it doesnt do anything. Why would they make something so un- user friendly this thing was 500 bucks new, i could have bought 20 mp3 players for that and they would have been working fully loaded in less than an hour. I'm about ready to chuck this thing against a wall......i have no patience for garbage

Fuck Apple!
Chuck Apple!

That is what everyone has been getting (with little variances depending on the browser), at least on the desktop side. On the smartphone end there's no problem.

I know that, but it seems like this is a Google / Firefox problem, not an actual threat, ie., they fucked up. Do I see this wrong?
