Batmobile Sells for $4.62 Mil at Barrett Jackson Today

Drove over to Scottsdale today to check out the Barrett Jackson auto auction. Never ceases to amaze me how many incredible vehicles are assembled in one place! My favorites are always the hot rods and the movie/memorabilia vehicles. The Batmobile was sold today for $4.62 Million!!! Holy Shit Batman!!! That's a lot of cheese for a car you'll never take out for a spin!!
Jay Leno was there bee-boppin' around mostly hanging out in the vintage car area. It was great to see that everybody pretty much left him alone and respected his privacy. I didn't see a single person asking for a pic or an autograph in the 30 mins. or so I saw him. The guy knows his shit too! As he walked around, he would tell the 2 guys he was with how much this car should go for and that car should go for - very matter-of-factly. Wish I'd stayed long enough to see how close he was.
