My New Thank You to the President

I want to deeply and sincerely thank President Obama, or whoever handles these things, for not having the public inauguration celebration today which would have distracted from Championship football day. Obviously, someone understand the priority in this country.
Also, let's not forget the significance of our first African American born president being sworn in for a second term on the MLK Birthday and Holiday. I know we go back and forth on policies and from one extreme to another. And I know this country has a long way to go to become as diverse and color-blind as we want to be. But we progress and a two-term president is nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure.
I don't have much faith in our leaders to turn things around, but I will start this term like the last - with hope.
But most of all, thanks for not screwing up Championship day!
