They're playing the Pirates who are going to have a losing streak that will be of legal drinking age at the end of the season. Don't get to excited

I'm not excited. I'm just worried that I'm in an alternate universe, as the Astros beat the Rangers last night too.

Hell yes! The one time of the year the Cubs have a 50/50 chance of being undefeated. It would be awesome if the Cubs pulled off a miracle this year.

BTW, my wife and I went to the exhibition game on Saturday between the Cubs & Astros and Minute Maid Park was empty. I bet there weren't 5000 people there. It was awesome, no lines for food or the bathroom.

According to Back To The Future 2, the Cubbies still have 2 more years to go.

The Miami Marlins would have to move to the AL first. The Cubs can't just win. But they also have to beat the right team. :p

The Rangers had a perfect game going against the Astros with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and the Astros got a hit!! Yu Darvish was the pitcher for the Rangers and they just pulled him. So close!!

As a Red Sox fan, it was good to see Lackey throwing well for once but then...BOOM! As much as he represented everything wrong with the Red Sox the year before last, I still hate to see that happen to a guy.

Anyone else see the brawl in the Dodgers/Padres game last night? Matt Kemp gets a fastball just over his noggin and later Carlos Quentin gets hit in the upper arm by Zach Greinke. Quentin charges the mound, Greinke turns slightly to the sight to give Quenting a shoulder and ends up with a broken collarbone and at least two months on the DL.

This is usually one of those situations when the opposing player who is retaliated against, unless they try to hit him in the head which Greinke didn't, should just take it like a man and take his base. Instead, he charges the mound and puts the opposing team's pitcher out for at least two months.

Yup....posted it on my FB page earlier....Nowhere NEAR as good as the Ryan/Ventura one from years ago. Then again...I don't think anything will beat that.

That was awesome...My favorite all-time pitcher landing a couple of fists to Ventura's noggin.

You know, for as hard as Quentin must've hit him to break his collarbone, Greinke actually stood his ground pretty well on that shot.
