So what do you guys think about this one from the tv spots? I wish they would've
found a way to integrate khan into this one some how. I heard that's what
they wanted to do originally but hey stuff happens. Opinions?

I'll see it. When it comes out on Blu-ray where I can watch it on my 52 inch flatscreen with surround sound while

burning down the house!

I'll probably go see it just to say I saw it. But I wasn't excited about the 'reboot,' and probably won't be excited here either.

I'm more interested in this: Trek, as it was meant to be.

Not excited at all. I'll probably rent it when it comes out, but this is one theater seat that'll be empty for this one.

FX = awesome.

Klingons = awesome.

Peter Weller = Robocop! Awesome.

Using a certain villain...NOT awesome.

Just saw this today and my overall thoughts are that it was worth going to see. The storyline is good, FX were great, like the soundtrack. I think I liked it better then the first in this reboot. The actors that play Kirk and Spock seem to do justice to them. The one thing that I don't care for is the Spock-Uhura love side story. It had some interesting twists. I would say that the trailers do not guve justice to the actual movie. I felt better about the film after seeing it then I did with just seeing the trailers which kind left me wondering if it was going to be worth it.

STID is a Trek movie tailored to Star Wars fans even more so than the reboot. 3/4 of the film takes in our solar system and on Earth, so there's not much actual trekkin.'

Um zero. I used my one movie a year on jurassic park already. Damnit

I liked the reboot a lot so I will definitely be checking this out in a few days.
