Even though I would like to see a VH/DLR reunion tour since that era of Van Halen had a huge impact on my life during my youth, I think a reunion tour & album with Sammy Hagar returning as frontman is great, VH is all about Eddie Van Halen, will ALWAYS be about EVH, has always been about EVH!

i would be very happy to see what VH's next project maybe--be it with David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar:) i would be satisified with anything because i have missed hearing stuff from them-though i wasn't really too crazy about the Gary Cherone situation-(in my opinion he should have stayed with Extreme)

Blabbermouth may have beatin' Andrew on some news...

VAN HALEN: Ready To 'Jump' Again? - Nov. 19, 2003
Veteran artist manager Irving Azoff (EAGLES, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SEAL, JEWEL, JOURNEY, et al) has signed VAN HALEN for management, according to Hits Daily Double, the companion web site of music industry tip sheet HITS. Azoff's longtime representation of Sammy Hagar leads to instant speculation about a possible reunion tour and Warner Bros. greatest-hits album. Is an album of new material also possible? Given that the Van Halens are still free agents for recording, might they opt for a self-release à la PEARL JAM?

Is this all true? Is there more going on that YOU know about and they don't? (blabbermouth that is)

I understand, all Roth fans will have the same view and I expect some will take it out on me :)

But it's good to see VH are heading back - in any form....

The man !!!
If and when Ed chooses a vocalist, I will be front row. Even if he chooses that chode Gary Charone. I will go just to watch the legend. I would prefer Dave or Sam, but I got into VH because of Ed.

This message from Sam was posted at his site: http://www.redrocker.com

November 21 2003
A couple of months ago I called Alex out of the blue because we had run into a mutual friend and both of us said to tell each other "hello". So I said, "I am going to call him" and we talked. Alex said "Hey, next time you are down here call me and we’ll have dinner or lunch or something." So a few weeks ago I was in L.A. I called Al, we had lunch, spent the whole day together. It was great. Reconnecting as friends. That was the end of it. A couple weeks later I talked to Ed on the phone, and a few times since then. It’s like old times as friends but nothing more than that. It’s great to have open communications with some old friends again, much better than being in a maze. If anything develops more from that when the time is right, I will keep you posted.

Any recent word Andrew?

I read your site, I check the VH board for your posts etc. I know Sam is in Tahoe on friday. Is there any word on what is happening right now. Is thing going to fly? Are they taking baby steps? Is it to soon to tell? Are your sources continuing to talk to you? When's your next post? Enquiring minds want to know?

All that said, I would like to say thank you for being a reliable source in the unreliable world of being a van halen fan. thanks Andrew you Rock!!!

The most underrated drummer
