Driving me crazy who this could be. Lot of people on the internet trying to figure it out as well. Shouldn't be so hard to figure it out.

I wonder if one of those cell phone apps that can identify a song could work in this case?

I tweeted Gabriel Mann, the show's music supervisor. We'll see if he gets back to me. Sometimes, he covers older 70s and 80s songs for the closing tune himself.

"Ringer" is right! Very close.

I'd say closer to David Glen Eisley than Perry.

Cool. The beginning sounds like Perry and the middle sounds like a smoother Eisley. Wonder who the singer is.
