This administration believes the have the media under their thumb. There are weekly and sometimes daily meetings with many media outlets intended to set the tone.

Not sure what the purpose of an off the record meeting of this type would solve though. I suspect it will be a lot of "It's a Fox News conspiracy, you should know better than to print this", etc.

Fox News was invited the meeting also....

off-the record is so the DOJ can say what they want and not be quoted.. but the press is starting to smell blood in the water..

So basically off the record means they can say whatever and not have to worry about being held accountable for what it is they say during such a meeting. Got it. Sounds like Holder has absolutely nothing to hide or worry about whatsoever.
