Sammy Hagar Adds ‘Four Decades of Rock’ Tour Dates

Don’t look now, but Sammy Hagar is celebrating 40 years as a professional rocker, and he’s bringing the party to his fans with a series of summer tour dates.

Hagar, who’s been having fun revisiting his past in the studio by cutting new tracks with the surviving members of Montrose and his former HSAS compatriot Neal Schon, will continue the celebration with ‘Four Decades of Rock,’ summarizing “forty years of iconic music from the legendary rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Famer,” according to a press release.

The tour, which starts in late July and runs through early September — with a couple of warm-up gigs that include a solo appearance on June 1 and a Tiki Party in Las Vegas with Emeril Lagasse manning the grill — will find Hagar leading a lineup that includes his Chickenfoot and former Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony, as well as fellow ex-Montrose members Denny Carmassi and Bill Church. I saw Sammy on the Livin' It Up tour and that show fucking rocked. "The Other Half" was great and when Mike was out there in a power trio singing Runnin With The Devil the people in the audience were like WTF and thats awesome at the same time

Where's "Eyeof" when you need him. I bet he's bought a ticket or 2 for every show. I was looking a couple of days ago and there isn't one single band coming to south florida in the summertime worth a fuck or who I'd go to see. I did want to see Billy Idol & he is coming to St. Augustine which is 4 and a half hour drive from here (hell, take a plane right). But on a wednesday night? Who the fuck goes to concerts on a wednesday night? He's also playing in Clearwater, on a fucking Tuesday night! WTF? And Clearwater is congested as fuck with retired snowbirds riding around in golf carts 24-7.
