That was amazing. I was surprised he was wearing loose clothing that the wind could
flap, thats along walk to carry and balance the weight of that pole.

Full Vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFlfbX196asHe starts praying the second he steps out. So if he fell, would've been God's fault?
Amazing or stupid?

To me, the only possible way to make it across is to be a solid professional that lives and breathes tightrope walking. Anything less and you become Wile E Coyote at the bottom of the canyon. So to imagine the kind of work it takes to accomplish it, I guess it was pretty amazing more than stupid.
Stupid is trying to knock down a 12 pack and thinking, "Yea, I can do this."

My wife kept squeezing my hand tighter and tighter the further he kept walking. We were watching the alternate views on our iPads at the same time we had it on TV. This guy plans to do the Empire State building next from what I understand.

We were doing the same thing with IPads, obviously he's not stupid, he's a pro who knows what he's doing
I thought his dad was kinda of annoying with his info, amazing view from up there!

My sister-in-law is a Sales Executive for Discovery and actually worked on the account for this event. She said it was "As real as real gets" and they [the Discovery Network] were all sweating bullets, hoping he didn't plummet to his death. It could have been disastrous for the Discovery Channel if the stunt had failed as they didn't have an "alternative ending". This guy is a true professional and trained in hurricane force winds for this stunt. Amazing what you can accomplish when you put your mind to it, but I still think he's nuts!!

Keep in mind that I'm a Christian with a strong belief in God. But he (The tight rope walker) was annoying the hell out of me with his non-stop "Thank you Jesus." "Yes, Jesus." "You're my lord, Jesus." "Calm the wind for me, Jesus."
Jesus isn't going to calm the wind for some idiot who put himself into a dangerous situation for no good reason.
In fact there is a scripture in the bible where Jesus tells you to not put God to the test. In Mathew chapter 4 verses 5 through 7 it says... "Then the devil took him (Jesus) to the holly city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
If you are the son of God, he (The devil) said, throw yourself down. For it is written He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
Jesus answered him, It is also written, Do not put the lord your God to the test."
Also, prayer is supposed to come from the heart. Not just a few words that you babble over and over again.

Is this the same cat that walked over Niagra Falls? I wonder what he has to prove next? I think it's amazing and he must be a very well trained professional, albeit, nuts. The problem I have with this is it will create other such dare devils and someone else is gonna die trying to be like this guy.

Many have. It's part of the human spirit I guess.
Rent the Jackass movies. It's shocking the human race has survived this long.

Yes, same guy. He wants to do the Empire State Building ( to another of course) but has already
Been told they will not approve the permit. Part of his training is also to catch the wire and wait for rescue
If need be. They had cages on that wire to reach him within 30 sec.
