I need your oppinions on artwork for possible show

Postby artist4perry » Tue Jul 09, 2013 8:27 am

Here are three photos of three artworks I am contemplating putting into a competition. Due to costs of entry fees I may only send two to this one, and save another for a different competition later. I could use some feedback if you have any preferences and or any comments are welcome.

First of all, these are all stunning drawings! nice work.
I would go with the first two. to my untrained eye they have more detail
and stand out a bit more to me. Good luck and great job with these!

Thanks. The drawings are blurry. I will take better ones before I send in for the competition. I appreciate the feedback!

I definitely like the 2nd and 3rd one the best. Not that I'm an art critic, but I think they're the best. Good luck with it, and I know you'll do great!! You should SERIOUSLY be doing artwork for children's books. Your art is amazing.

Thanks GI. I want to do my own book someday. Maybe I will. I would be glad to do art for others ideas too someday.

They're all great. But if you can only pick 2, I'd say 2 & 3.

I'm just floored every time I see your drawings. Incredible. Not just the excellent detail, but the creativity and imagination that goes into them. I can't pick. Any one of those should win first place in whatever contest you enter.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

You speak for me too Rick. Ginger has incredible talent. I love her work. It's really hard to choose.

Thanks for sharing your art with us Ginger! Hope you're feeling better after your surgery! I suspect you are, as there is a positive tone in your post.

Thanks Rick and Steveo I am trying hard every day to improve my craft. I love creating things of otherworldly nature. I am so glad for your input. I miss being in college with critiques where I exchange thoughts on the art with others. Feedback gives me a chance to hear what others think of my work. I know I have a lot to learn still. I am not concerned about perfection, but to get across a mood or a story like feel. I do try and learn to get more realism in my work every day.

I am feeling better every day and the art helps me have something to do that keeps me from getting bored out of my skull since I am home bound for a little while.

They are not going to remove the staples for 10 more days...I hate these things they itch and catch on stuff. I got to see the x ray of the poles they put in my back...I have a little bridge across my spinal cord. LOL

I am trying to grow the bones together so that eventually the metal poles are no longer needed. Basically they are growing bone between each disc to where they are all bone. It will create a limited mobility but it will end the pain on the nerves and I will be pain free from now on. That is going to be a blessing!

I am glad I am not a smoker...if I was I would have had to have a separate additional surgery to shave part of my hip bone off to do the graphing. Because I don't smoke they can use an artificial graph to create the bone between the spinal bones.
