Did anyone else pick their album up? I have to honestly say I'm a bit disappointed with the album after the first listen. Nothing really jumped out at me with the exception of the 1st track.

I thought about checking it out yesterday but haven't done so yet. I like each of the three musicians individually but these kind of pairings usually don't live up to their hype.

I don't have the CD yet but the three singles they released ahead of the album all sounded good to me.

3-4 tracks have stood the test of time for me (I've had it for several weeks). In my order of preference:

1.Not Hopeless
2. I'm no angel
3. Elevate
13. Regret

The rest of it sounds like Kotzen/Mr Big rejects. Once you add in Porntoy's shitty voice and his inconsistent snare intonation, it's just not as good as people are making it out to be.

THANK YOU!!! I always HATED his backing vocals in DT. They were/are awful and, actually, "HATED" is not even a strong enough word.

Fantastic band, the key thing here is standout songs. Great vocals, verses, choruses and great melodic rock. Sure, there are some widdlebits, but this band is anything but a chops show off group. Ritchie sings like Al Green and GLENN hughes! my kind of vocalist. Caught their show Friday night and he pulled off all these songs vocally live as well. Only downer is that Ritchie has zero stage presence, but it's made up for by Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy's onstage charisma. I'd go see them again.
