There was a band with a female singer that Eddie Van Halen was associated with in the mid 80's. Maybe one album. I think he produced the album and maybe played on one song. Anyone know the name? Wiki for Eddie doesn't mention it. There's a killer version of Amazing Grace on there. I used to own the LP, but haven't had it in many years (stolen).

Found it. It just popped into my head. Weird. They were called Private Life.
