I think this is the worst trashing of an original. I like Joss Stone's voice and what she's did in SuperHeavy but some songs should just be left alone. Hard to believe May and Taylor signed off on it. Not like they needed the money.

My philosophy on covers. If it's a rock or heavy metal song being converted to any other genre, then it's a shitty cover. However, any song converted to a rock or metal version, then it's awesome, no matter how poor it is. Any song converted to rock or metal is instantly an improvement over the original.

Agreed - especially when it comes to the national anthem! All the ballparks in America should do away with guest singers and just have this queued up on the jumbo-tron and be done with it. This is quite possibly the best performance/rendition of the national anthem I've ever heard - it's even better than Whitney's performance at the Super bowl in 1991 - AND IT'S ACAPELLA FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!
