Ok, I have been here enough years to know that no matter what I say someone will probably end up laughing  and calling me a cute name. Whatever. With instant knowledge at our fingertips today we know almost everything moments after it happens. So You read one thing, I read another. Unless there are proven facts it might as well be fantasy. And even then some will refuse to believe. Because they dont want to be proven wrong. Their real agenda isnt the truth it is attacking others with deliberate intent of provoking readers. Weve all seen them. Trolls & Flamers. Hell we have several here.

Anyway.... Im curious as to where the world is headed? Or where YOU think its going? I think that hatred, evil, dishonesty, corruption and violence has aggressively hammered all that is good increasingly more in the past 10 years and will continue to do so. I know there are still good people, that there is still cause to believe or have faith, I see that everyday too. But I think right now evil seems to be dominating. :(

There are just too many things happening in the world to not see it IS changing. And again personally I believe its not a good change. There are too many bad options taking place, setting up for a worse future. I could post a list of the things that I think are a threat to my Grand Kids future & mine, but would like to get every one else's thoughts.

What does the future of America or the world in the next 10 years look like in your eyes?

Absent something equivalent to another Industrial Revolution that restores capital and eliminates the debt... the future is not good. We are effectively a "debtor" nation now. Historically debtor nations do not maintain "superpower" status.

John Adams once said "There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.”

It is why the Founders abhorred democracy as a form of government, and instead created America as a Republic.. and did not use the word "democracy" in the Declaration, or the Constitution.

Agreed. The Founders created a Republic, not a Democracy. The Constitution, as designed, is the mechanism to ensure we stay a Republic.

Financial collapse is a very strong possibility for the downfall of America and maybe a lot of the rest of the world.

I don't look at it as a "downfall"... because ideologically the American Republic as it was created hasn't existed for a long time, largely due to decades of federal government profligacy, and their continued attempts to legitimize it by subverting and abrogating the literal language of the Constitution.

Social unrest will be temporary for some, permanent for others.. but the states will survive.

The federal government in its current form will likely not.

Fot me one thing is for sure. If Obama completes his 2nd term, which I have no doubt he will, this countries position in the world will diminish. Which is his true goal. It make look like bumbling but it is exactly what is looking for.

Its part of the One World Order. Make everyone equal. No more super power countries. Everyone has the same weakness's and same strength's.

If America loses it's super power status, it will never regain it. History has shown that countries that lose their superior status, never get it back. Prepare yourself.

It's already gone..

All that's happening now is a Fed induced spending bubble. The economy doesn't make anything anymore.. just look at GDP.

The only way America could have ever hoped to keep it's super power status was by maintaining the economic superiority that fueled it in the 1st place... before it allowed it to move offshore.

Economic power is the primary engine of empire.. as economic power goes, so does political power.

To understand what is happening today, one has to have some understanding of money and history intertwine. This is a pretty good video on monetary history. It's actually part of a 4 part series.. and although the narrator eventually pitches his company... the video's do provide a great understanding of how economy, currency & money (there is a difference between the two) are indicators of the health of a given country. It does help one "connect the dots"
