I'll admit I do not generally listen to rap. Maybe a little. But I'm definitely no expert. And I do not know anything by Kanye. But my son had me listen to this new song. He and I are in agreement - this has to be about the single worst rap song in the history of rap. It is so awful that it left me puzzled. Is this guy considered good somehow. I mean, I was truly embarrassed for him. So either I am that old and that disconnected, or this guy has no business performing.

Isn't this what most rap is these days? I remember back in "the day" early rap was happy and fun, like Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick and Will Smith "Girls ain't nothing but trouble". Guess all the happy and fun rap all got caught up in a drive-by.

I don't think so. I have many kids and they all listen to rap and so I hear it all the time. I've never heard anything this bad.

I knew some DJs in the 80s and early 90s and there was plenty of gawdawful rap (almost seems redundant ) 25+ years ago. Shitball lyrics "git yo face slapped with nine inches o' limp dick" and all that. When the Geto Boys came out, their lyrics dripped with misogyny and violence. You couldn't tell anyone that without somebody taking it personally and spitting "S'called keepin' it real!!"

The Beastie Boys are the only "rap" act I'd ever give my time, and that usually means somebody else might be playing them and the music's within earshot. They did some interesting and funny stuff. One of the funniest rap albums has to be the one by Digital Underground that came out in the late '80s. Again, it was due to the sex-centric lyrics. Rap for the most part is pretty flippin' annoying and Kanye is a piece of shit.

Pre-gangster rap days.. we had hip hop... like LL CoolJ and the Digital Underground.... and it was fun music...

Then the gangster rap thing took over and its been down hill ever since.. although Eminem is one funny rapper when he wants to be.

The Lonely Island is the modern day Beastie Boys.

He's an overhyped waste of oxygen.

Please don't let your kids listen to that shit. The lyrics are absolutely pornographic. From, "Getting my dick sucked" to "eating her pussy". And every other thing you can imagine. It's absurd that kids are hearing this stuff, but they are. Parents are too busy to care. Sad.

Hmmm. Turns out he's kind of an idiot as well.

I definitely get his point, but a President has all the connections he needs and this president has had more support than any since at least Reagan and maybe ever.

First comment summed it up:

"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's $11 Million Dream Home"

"See inside Oprah Winfrey's $85 million Santa Barbara mansion before she remodels"

"Jamie Foxx’s real-life $11 million ‘White House"

"Jada and Will Smith Quietly List 150-Acre Compound for $42M"

"Radio host Steve Harvey renting Trump penthouse fo $22,000 per month"

" LeBron James' $9 Million South Beach Mansion"

I think they're all way ahead of the curve compared to Latin "celebs." When's the last time you saw a Latino actor besides Danny Trejo (Machete, Machete Kills, both "B"-styled ultraviolent films) headline a movie?

No doubt, and his latest stupid quip about being in danger on stage like a cop or a soldier only accentuates his lame self importance. He is a smug tool.
