Guitar players -- pedal board recommendations?

Forum guitar players:
I'm in the market for a solid pedal board. Would spend up to $300 (though would prefer to stay closer to $200). Don't use a ton of pedals (probably 4 - 6), but given my pretty wide budget, I wouldn't mind having extra real estate for the flexibility. Don't gig much at all anymore, so this is really just for my home use (but again, given flexible budget, more durability / nicer board certainly isn't a negative).
Anyone have any thoughts?

That's a loaded question. What are you into and what kind of sound are you looking for? Looking for a clean boost with a distortion pedal? A clean boost into a distortion pedal will add MORE distortion because the distortion pedal is already clipping and will clip more when you hit it harder. That’s also why a small amp cranked up does not get louder when you hit it with a louder signal—it’s already out of headroom, so it can only distort more. A clean boost after a dirt pedal will increase the volume, without adding more distortion.” Their are different types of pedalboard layouts that you yourself are going to have to decide on. How you want your layout for what you are playing. And what I mean is switching from lead to rhythm, crunchy, harder or whatever you like. Pedalboards, depending on how man different boxes you want can be relative inexpensive, like under 100.00. If you want one that has a power supply and effects loop patch bays, amp outputs etc., you can spend about 240 to 280. I don't play much anymore with my pedalboard, my kid has taken over that. I prefer the reliable acoustic on the deck playing whatever fits the bill. Good luck E on your search & destroy mission.

Thanks for the reply man, but I'm not talking about the stomp boxes themselves. I already have the effects pedals I want. Instead, I'm looking for a board where I can link all my pedals together on the ground for easy access. E.g.,

Yea ok, the one you looked at has everything you need. Depending on how many pedals you have you should be able to hook them all in and be good to go. The one I have (and it's about 6 years old) doesn't have nearly what that one does and it works like magic. Like I said before, I rarely use any boxes but when I do it's usually the loop or just one I can switch between rhythm and lead and get some crunch to it when I'm playing with my kid.

My husband bought one recently that looks just like this, except is was definitely not $300...
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Pedaltrain- ... 1397720.gcIt was not even $200 actually. (I want to say it was around $125 or so) But is was basically this one, and it was from guitar center. Maybe it was on sale, because I'm almost sure this is the same one, it has the case and everything. He loves it.
