Def Leppard - Viva Hysteria

Watching Viva Hysteria on AXS really makes me miss Steve Clark.

No doubt. His stage presence was undeniable. After watching viva, even more so. So after watching it I immediately popped in "In the round" and all was right in the world once more. By the way did anyone feel ripped off by the History of the Eagles? I fucking did. The concert disc wasn't a full concert, like 7 songs, WTF? I expected a FULL concert so I feel cheated.

although I'm a huge fan of Hysteria.... I honestly preferred the original incarnation and Mutt & Shipley's production on H&D...

Vivian Campbell is good but he's no Steve Clark. Vivian's playing, to me, comes across as lazy. Even his solos can be a bit lackluster sometimes, which is a shame because his work with Dio was amazing.

I agree. I've always said they should have gotten somebody a little younger with fresh idea's not some hired gun. At that point they could have taken their time with the decision but their thinking was we need a 5 piece on tour, he's as close to an englishman that were going to get, your in! He lacks interested in what he's doing onstage where as Clark, with his long blond hair, his high-stepping, gibson slung low & hi was fucking awesome.

Watching Steve play, you could tell that he really loved what he did. I don't get that same impression from Vivian.
