Something needs to happen... I used to think it was on life support. Now I think someone pulled the plug! There's still traffic in a couple of forums downstairs, but the list of females who used to post in here seems to have dropped to zero! Michigan Girl, Rhiannon, BJG, Ginger, Nora, Liz (a few of them!), Portland and many others. No Dan (Saint John), Stevew2, Gator, Ed, Larry, Behshad, Dan (Seven Wishes), Liquid Drummer, Rich, and countless others... DAMN!!! I miss the old MR! This place used to be on fire with debates, death threats, public hangings etc... Lol!!! Those were the good old days.

Loved the good old days, I pissed myself laughing on a nightly basis! I think the women here had dirtier minds and fouler mouths than us guys did.

Yesterday was my Mother's day.......pay this mother and that mother. Happy mother's day bitch!

Thanks belatedly guys. I still lurk from time to time. I guess I should come over here more often. I think most folks are pretty busy these days.

I'm glad I didn't see this on Mother's Day, I hate Mother's Day. I get my mother a gift and tell her I love her (and I DO!) but I wish my kids would just treat it like any other day....it's just like Valentine's Day, a day when you are forced to give gifts...if you don't show someone you love them all year long then gifts on one day when it's forced doesn't mean anything and if you do show someone you love them all year, you don't need a day to dictate gift giving and love.

I never ask for a gift, I just like a call. I could care less if I receive anything...my hubby takes me out for a nice dinner, that is good enough for me. But to treat my mom...that is fun for me. We should always remember to thank our moms...if they were good moms. You don't have to commercialize it unless you make it that way. My kids know I love a phone call and a hug so much more than a gift. But just as I love to make things and treat my mom, let your kids do the same if they can and want to. There should be no obligatory cost or expectation. Make the day what you will...your family can set their own traditions, or not if that is your preference.

It didn't help......and I still hate Mother's Day. The only holidays I like are Christmas, Easter and Independence Day, the rest are just crap!
