Kicked smoking cold turkey

Granted it has only been a week so far, but I decided to stop smoking after 1-2 packs per day for the past several years. Already feel a lot better and haven't really had any particularly arduous cravings. Breaks at work seem to last a lot longer when you don't spend most of them smoking.

Best of luck. I know stopping can be brutal. Great start!

Still going strong. Had a few cravings Saturday night out in a social setting, but didn't let them get to me.

Good job man. Keep going. This is possibly one of the most impressive things somebody can do when it comes to taking control. My mother was a heavy, heavy smoker for years. I battled nonstop with her and even got into some aggressive; verbal spats with her over her cigarette abuse. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago and that woke her up. She quit cold turkey after her treatments and never looked back. I haven't been more proud or impressed and it's going to tack on many more years of life by kicking them to the curb. Good luck with everything. Quitting smoking could possibly become the most mentally and physically rewarding thing one could achieve. You're more in control than you think .

I held on to a pack just in case things got ridiculous; which they haven't at all. So I gave it away a few hours ago.
