THIS IS THE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT I MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT. PLEASE READ ON.

This could be the worst idea ever, or the best thing I ever do.

Starting next week (hopefully), I am launching a new venture – something I have wanted to do for years. Now seems the right time. I have been working on this on and off for as several years and now is the time to put a folder or two of notes into something more tenable.

This new venture will utilise the Patreon platform, which many might already be aware of. Patreon allows content makers to attract subscribers to their page at different financial levels, much like crowd funding, paid monthly. Fees generally start low ($1-$5/month), making access easy and affordable for all.

So what is this new venture? What have I conjured up from the bowels of my mind?'

The name, details and a preview will come shortly.

But what I can say is that it is a writing project. It is fiction. Or is it? Probably. Some of it.

It is about the music business. Surprise surprise. It’s about rock stars, bands, record labels, publicists, agents, promoters, journalists, shysters, bullshit artists, good guys, bad guys, psychos, fans, the innocent and the guilty. Its my story and it’s a bunch of people’s stories. Did I mention that its fiction?

And it will be so much more. I hope. It could be a bunch of crap that no one wants to read. Who knows!

Love to hear any thoughts on this and if Patreon is a platform you’d feel comfortable using to access this project. There is plenty to write about, with the story continuing in weekly/bi-weekly updates in episodic format.

I can’t wait to get started…
