Little Something I wanted to do for a while, to kind of get a feel for what people like around here. With so many people there has to be a lot of different tastes. So, starting with 1975, I could go back more, but it seemed like a good place to start for me. I was just getting into music, I was 10 and even thought it was mainly country music around me, every now and then I could get a hold of rock music. By 1977 I was hooked on rock music and there was no looking back.

So with 1975 and going forward in different posts, do a different year. Maybe do one or two years a week.
List your top 3 / 5 /10 /20/40 /50 whatever of your favorites. If you want, put why you like the album, etc…

Unfortunately, I can't help you with this one, I was only 3 years old in 1975. Unless maybe you want to know what I thought of the Scooby-Doo theme song at the time?

A number of the bands that you listed are bands that I started to get into by about 1980 or so to some extent, and then have loved since say around 1981 in the case of Journey and maybe the mid 80s for some of the others.

Hey not a problem, I was only 10. Figured I am probably one of the older ones here. It was 75 when I started listening to rock music, but it was 77 when it hit me that this IS THE MUSIC FOR ME.

70's Elton John I was not much a fan of. I liked whatever was on the radio, not much of an album fan. Even today, when I have all his stuff, it is hard for me to sit through a whole album of his, especially his mid 70's to early 80's. It was Too Low For Zero that I became a real fan of his.

Interesting thread but I was 4 years old in 1975. But I did listen to music. I had 4 older brothers and listened to some of their records. For 1975 I would say there were only 2 records I listened to:

1. Bad Company - Bad Company. I remember playing this ALL the time, I loved it!
2. Jimi Hendrix - Crash Landing

That's it from that time period but I also remember listening to a ton of 45's, mostly from an earlier period (The Monkees, The Beatles, Kiss).

Mostly I listened to superhero records from Power Records like this:

Good ol Neal Adams doing the art work there. Use to have of the big Superman records. But my favorite was a batman 45 one, If I remember correct Neal was the artist for it too.
