SPILLWAYS - GHOST feat. JOE ELLIOTT

I am a devoted DL lover since 1987. To me the best band in the world. As I really enjoyed "Def Leppard" a few years ago, I was rather disappointed by "Diamond Star Halos" (Take What You Want the only highlight). Now I found this version of the GHOST track. This is by far the best DL song, that has not been written by them for some years. Great production, catchy chorus and Joe top notch! Tobias Forge really seems to be a fan. Great song writing!

This is hilarious. My youngest daughter LOVES Ghost. It's her favorite band. She has a Spotify playlist of their songs and runs it in the car when she's driving.

There is one song where the guitar reminds a LOT of Eddie Van Halen. Every time it comes on, I mention it. I don't remember the name of the song though.

A while back another song came on and it just sounded very familiar. Then they started singing and I said, "That's Missionary Man". It is one of the few Eurythmics songs I like. I showed her the old MTV video and she said I ruined the song for her and deleted it from her playlist cuz I knew the words and could sing along to it, if I wanted to.

So, I told her I wanted her to listen to this song and see if she liked it. So, I start playing the YouTube video on my phone and Bluetooth connected it to the car. Of course, the radio shows that it is Ghost and she starts asking me why I'm playing Ghost. Then she says, "Oh, no. This is the version with that one guy in it." So, I ask her, "What's the matter? Don't you like it?" She says no, this version sucks, she hates it, his voice doesn't fit the song at all, the other version is MUCH better. LOL, I just think it's hilarious.

As for my thoughts on Ghost. They are OK. I think they started out with melodic Satan music. I would make fun of that saying they should have a song called "All Hail the Goat's Head". Then I find there is a song with "Kiss the Goat" in the lyrics...too funny. They seemed to move away from the Satan music and they are OK. They are better than a lot of bands from the early 2000's.

As for Joe Elliot doing this. I think it could help both bands. Ghost isn't exactly hugely popular right now. Neither is Def Leppard...so, linking the fan bases is nothing but a good thing for both bands. This Song is OK...not sure how other Ghost fans reacted to this version. Would be interesting to know. They should tour together...that would be fun.
