I was watching a data scientist saying there were an unusual number of "ballet ballots" in the data he looked at from AZ and NV. A bullet ballot is a ballot where only one selection is made....ie: a vote for Trump and nobody else, no senate/house, no local elections, etc. He said it usually averages around 1-2% of ballots...but in the case of these states, Trump was getting over 5% of his votes as bullet ballots. He said it looks fraudulent....and encouraged Harris to demand recounts. But, I doubt very much she will do that.

The majority of Trump’s supporters are simple minded idiots so I doubt very much that they bothered to look past that first question. That being said, Elon Musk is shady suspicious bastard so I was very disappointed that Harris didn’t push back and at least demand more scrutiny of the results.

Also, no company in their right mind is going to absorb higher tariffs so Trump is delusional is he thinks his plan won’t crash the economy and spike inflation when the added cost is passed on to consumers who are already struggling.

The tariffs are going to increase inflation. The retaliatory tariffs of both Canada and Mexico will increase inflation. Eliminating cheap Mexican labor by sending everybody back is going to increase inflation. He even wants the Fed to lower interest rates, which is one the few inflation controls

And, lets cut alternative fuel research and let China lead in that, frak more shale oil that the US does not refine because it is too expensive ...send it to Canada to refine (with Canada paying THEIR tariff) and reimport it (paying OUR tariff). Yeah, brilliant way to make energy cheap.

There needs to be some politician(s) who can wack some heads unapologetically and get people to face reality. It is also dangerous now. Trump threatening Canada, Mexico, China, Spain, and BRICS with tariffs is STUPID. We are pushing our allies away to look for other trading partners. If more countries join BRICS, the US is isolated and screwed...none of them will care if we put up tariffs, because they have a half dozen other countries to FREELY trade with. We should be leading a new trade alliance, nurturing our relationship with Mexico and Canada, and encouraging more countries to join...it is GOOD for the economy, not bad. COMPETE with BRICS. Isolating the US from the rest of the world sets the USA back more than 100yrs. It's crazy...but because Trump says it's normal and FOX agrees, then it is OK with Republicans. Stupid and ignorant.

The result? Inflation is now going up, gas prices are higher, the bird flu is ignored and egg pricing skyrocketing. People working on nuclear secrets, weapons and energy were fired, and OOOOPS should not have been and are trying to be found so they can hire them back. Same thing with researchers looking at the bird flu...fired. Prescription drug prices went up because Biden's controls were lifted. USAIDS has been gutted and is effectively useless so million of people around the world who rely on US aid no longer have it so they are either going to die from illness, be infected unnecessarily with illness, babies being born with HIV that would not have been..etc. That stock market is way down from the 45000 high. Venezuelan had their protective status removed so they are being deported - even though they VOTED FOR TRUMP! Canadians are pissed and are boycotting ANYTHING from the US and canceling vacations. Europe is looking to buy natural gas from Canada instead of the US. Canada, in general, is moving away from US trade and is upgrading infrustrure to modernize for transportation and global trading. The large majority of my relatives are hardcore MAGA and my conversions with them around politics is the same frustrating bullshit nonsense. They get all of their so called "news" from the usual Fox News opinion shows (Hannity, Ingraham, Watters, etc...). When I call them out and give them hard facts that proves them wrong then I get the same cookie cutter response, they call it fake news or they try to find some way to work in Biden or Obama and argue it's their fault Trump's hair brained idea didn't work.

Here is the truth. It is congress who is responsible for creating all taxes and tariffs. It is THEIR job to do this. Trump is using a fake "economic emergency" to make all of these tariff changes. All congress has to do is pass a declaration that there is no emergency and all these recent tariffs will be removed. The Senate has already passed this. It even had a few Republican votes...the usual moderate Republicans along with Mitch McConnell. So, if the House passed it, all this will end. But, it will not happened because Majority Leader Johnson passed some weird declaration that the rest of the House session for the remainder of the year is to be considered "one day"...and therefore, this can not be added to the schedule to be voted on in this year's House.

Therefore, it is not just Trump...it is the leadership of the Republican party who is at fault here. Why ANY Republican receives even 1 voted for ANY election is a mystery to me. They are not only allowing Trump to be a dictator, they are supporting it. NO Republican should be in government. They should not have the Presidency, there should not be a single Republican in either the Senate or House, there should not be ANY Republican governors, there should not be any Republican in any state congress. If there are any local positions where Republicans can run (like sheriff or something), they should not have those positions either. At this point the Republican party should be dissolved, ended, buried, pushing up the daisies. It should be a dead party.

I wish a true Reform party could be formed. A party focused on fixing government, for the country and not for themselves or the party or for someone eases bank account. They should focus on REAL issues...like the President issuing tariffs...ensure that power goes back to congress. Scale back the ability for the President to make executive orders. Rewrite the the 2nd amendment in updated language...and have a real debate on what that language should be, or if it is even necessary to have a "right to bare arms" in this modern age. Fix the insane Supreme Court decision that makes a President above the law and able to commit crimes without being punished. Remove the electoral college system so the candidate who gets the most votes wins. Ensure that if a President nominates a judge for the Supreme Court that that candidate gets a vote, even if the nominating President leaves office. Add check/balances for pardons so a 2/3 vote in congress can overturn a pardon. Add checks/balances for executive orders so a 2/3 vote in congress can over turn an executive order. And, on and on and on. Maybe require every 10yrs or so a Constitutional Convention to review, debate, and vote on amendments to the Constitution.

IMO, this is beyond the ability of the Democrats or Republicans to do...a true "Reform" party should do it.

What I was talking about was actually in the news the last few days. When they mention the Senate voting about ending the Canada tariffs, that is what I was talking about. Elizabeth Warren has another idea that is a bit wider that she wants to pass. Then there is a third option that basically says that Trump's tariffs end after 60 days, unless they are passed by congress.

But, again, it's all irrelevant if it only passes the Senate....the House need to vote on it and pass it too.

The bottom line is congress can end this stupidity...but they have to choose take the tariff power back.

I can't imagine anybody voting Republican right now. It's like voting in favor of a deep economic depression. Yeah, great idea.

They can end it, but they won't, because they're afraid. Most of them, at least.
