Where are you going to see Van Halen this summer?

I'm going to see them in Saint Louis on July 28 at the indoor Savvis Center. I'll be glad to see them indoors, the sound is always better. Most rock bands play at the outdoor UMB Bank Pavilion (formerly Riverport), but the acoustics suck outside, and if it rains, half the people get soaked.

Here is a list of tour dates. Where are you going to see them?

What's the matter? Are you a cheapskate? $90 ain't bad - The Eagles charged $125.

Stay home and listen to VH music. We'll miss you.

I'm with you Itbob, that is a bit steep to pay to see any band. Just because other bands cash in on the fans and charge crazy prices, it doesnt mean it is right. The new trend in ticketing is going to hell. Premium, meet the band/get a laminate, seating is just one more way to cash in on fans. Ticketbastard and promoters are soaking fans and putting bands in positions where they gotta charge high prices to make the touring profitable.
For those of you who are going, I give you credit. Being willing to spend that kind of money to see a band is luxury I dont have. I hope the shows are worth the money. Please post reviews here when you get a chance.
Peace :D

Another thing to remember alot of these guys {not that they have not worked for it} have had alot of money since there very early twenties.
Money has'nt been a problem for them for so long I think maybe they forget what a chunk that is.I've been in bands and know its a HELL OF ALOT OF WORK,all the people see is a band on stage smiling and havin a blast and not the weeks and months of practice it takes to get there. Not to mention how far a band like V.H. has gone. So I sure agree they should make money, and alot of it, but damn I'd love to go too. Last time I saw them was at Riverport for 22.50 I think it was, and it was the best show ever period. Lt.Bob

There was a time when it wasn't unusual for me to have gone to 20 concerts in one year. Now it's down to 3 or 4 tops. Too expensive. Obviously many people can afford it because they keep selling out at these crazy prices. I will see Van Halen at the Meadowlands on June 22 and 23. The only other concert I will go to this year is Rush, since I haven't seen them since 84. That's it. No more cash. I believe if credit cards became illegal and no one had one prices for everything would come crashing down. I have a kid on the way so I probably shouldn't even be going to these shows. But screw it. Ya only live once.
