New Stanley Solo Album

Postby melodic_metal_fl » Tue May 04, 2004 5:09 am

This sound much more promising than Gene's solo effort.

From BW&BK
KISS vocalist/rhythm guitarist PAUL STANLEY has been working on tracks for his upcoming solo album at Bob Kulick’s Los Angeles recording studio.

Paul is working with current KISS drummer Eric Singer and former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick (GRAND FUNK RAILROAD) on the material, essentially making the forthcoming recording a KISS Revenge era album.

In fact, since KISS vocalist/bassist GENE SIMMONS didn't play a single bass note on Revenge or Carnival Of Souls (they were all handled by Bruce), this really is a KISS Revenge era lineup album that Paul is making.
I've opened doors, I've opened minds
I've opened yours a thousand times
As I wait for you

I've fought the battle from the start
I've opened sores inside my heart
It bleeds without remorse

What? Simmons didn't play bass on Revenge or Carnival of souls. How many KISS albums has he actually played on?

I'm looking forward to new Paul Stanley stuff as well. His voice is too good and can't be ignored. I just hope the songs are good. I could care less about Gene's album.

Might as well call it a Kiss album, with Singer and Kulick there as well.......every time I hear Stanley's voice, I think KISS anyway!

I'm sure it's going to be 1000 times better than Gene's "Asshole" CD.

By all accounts, and from the snippets I've heard, that wouldn't be too fucking hard!

A 1000 times nothing would still be nothing.

Anyway, I know what you mean, and I'm confident Paul Stanley's album will be very much worth listening to. :D

Has anyone actually heard anything from Paul's upcoming album? Perhaps anyone close to him or who happens to have ties to the industry? Paul is my favorite musician of all time and I am dying for his new album. I have talked to a guy from New York who claims to have heard it in the works and he says the material is absolutely stellar. Thanks for any help.
