I'm not going to use the term Van Hagar like most fans do because VH is all about Eddie Van Halen no matter who the frontman is, I'm looking forward to the Van Halen/Sammy Hagar reunion tour even though I'm not planning on going, it's going to be " great " speaking as an old VH/DLR era fan seeing Eddie kicking ass onstage again after a long absence from the spotlight, I'd like to see Eddie & Dave onstage " one more time " but I think Eddie & Sammy compliment each other well!

I guess we Roth era fans have to wish in one hand & sh1t in the other and see which one gets filled first.
The new tour is great for VH fans everywhere, but I just dont have a warm fuzzy feeling about this reunion. Mix in the silly ticket prices and I'll be skipping this one entirely. I will wait until VH puts out a new record to see them perform. A few new songs doesnt get me going like it may for some.
Plus, I dont have much interest in hearing "Right Now" live again ever.
I hope they mix up the setlist within the sam era stuff and make things interesting.
I think a point everyone is missing about this is that this may not be a permanent thing. This seems to be a feeler for the VH future. If the new music tanks in sales, (which is a possiblity since Ed has virtually ignored fans for years), Sam may wanna cut ties and get away from the injured beast.
With that said, I still think VH will continue to make decent music into the future. If anyone can save Ed from killing his own legacy, its Sammy.

Without a good singer, Eddie is nothing.

That's cos Ed tried to make him sing like Sammy mate - besides, shouldn't Ed just sing?

What are the chances of them touring Europe? Well, I'm only interested in them coming to England to be honest.

I am eager to hear the new stuff, but a few new songs isnt that special. With all the time ED has had to sit around and write killer material, these 3 songs better be tits! Also, any new record they put out must be absolutely stellar. If Ed cant write 8 good songs in 6 years then he just may be washed up.
I believe that Ed can still do it and be great. Cherone was a great singer, he just wasnt able to balance the quality control in the band. Sam and/or Dave arent afraid to tell Ed his stuff is sh1t. Its that balance system that pushes the band to deliver. VH3 was Ed's big floppy donkey dick of a solo record. Its past.
Any music VH puts out from here on out will be under HEAVY scrutiny due to the fact that Ed farted in the face of the fans for 6 years. Cancer and marital separation are HUGE issues, but VH fans have been shat upon for too long to forget.

Wouldn't them touring Europe be more likely if they play more countries than just England? It saves on their traveling expenses and more concerts would bring in more money for them...

Anyone else get the feeling that this reunion thing is very tenuous, at best? I get the feeling this could still all blow up rather quickly.
